Carpet Cleaner Killed for not being educated !! Could have been you !!!
There are many carpet cleaners out there that need education. There are many customers out there that hire a guy or company that cleans carpet, tile or upholstery that is not educated enough to be in a van or a customers home. The customer hires the person on just price alone and never checks to see if they are trained properly. THIS IS A BAD IDEA. This person should not have been in a home cleaning. When you take a class on cleaning and our educated by the IICRC that is one of the first things they show you is to stay away from the home and park as far away as possible. Just be glad this guy didn't come to your home with you inside. Be smart when hiring a cleaner hire a certified firm. http://www.tennessean.com/article/20140124/NEWS/301240102/Police-Carbon-monoxide-killed-carpet-cleaner-Hermitage-home?nclick_check=1

Basic Leather Furniture Cleaning How to clean leather
You will need 3 chemicals to clean leather furniture (leather cleaner, leather conditioner and leather protection). You want to start out by removing all dry soil from your furniture. Then you will start to use the leather cleaner which should get rid of all soils such as oil from your skin and any other soils. Make sure you rinse off leather cleaner properly. Refer to the instructions on the cleaner you have purchased. Then you will want to use a leather conditioner. This will moisturize the leather like putting lotion on your body. Leather will start to dry out and crack if you are not applying conditioner. Last step you will want to protect your leather furniture from future soils and stains. Apply leather protector (scotch guard) to your furniture and let dry. Now you have cleaned your leather furniture correctly. If you do not wish to clean your own furniture call 602-354-5223 or visit www.azcarpetandtilecleaning.com. How to clean tile and grout if you want to try and do yourself.
First off you will need to know what kind of tile you have on your floor (do not guess this will be a big mistake and you could potentially ruin your nice tile floors) If you do not know ask the company that installed it or if you know the manufacture check with them. If you need help on tile contact us and we can help you out. Make sure you find out what you can use on your floor before applying any cleaners. This is a general explanation of how to clean tile and grout. Grout is very porous and will soak up anything that touches it. Sometimes grout soaks up stuff all the way to bottom and there is no way to get it out no matter what cleaner or process you use if this happens you must re-grout floor.
Alkaline cleaners will tear into dirt and grease or anything that it not a mineral. To remove any mineral deposits you must use a acid based cleaner. Alkaline cleaners will not get up minerals and acid cleaners will not get up grease or dirt. Alkaline or neutral cleaners will not hurt stone, ceramic, porcelain or marble floors. You can use alkaline cleaners on all tile floors, but to make sure 100% you must ask the manufacture of tile.
You will want to sweep entire floor make sure you have removed all dry soil. You will then want to find either a neutral or a alkaline tile cleaner, there are many out there on the market. You must apply cleaner to tile and grout. You must let cleaner sit and dwell properly refer to instructions on bottle. Once the cleaner has had time to dwell you will need to scrub your tile with a tile brush. Then you will need to scrub your grout with a grout brush. There is 2 different kinds of brushes make sure you use the right one. Once you have cleaned the tile and grout with the alkaline cleaner you now need to rinse the floor to remove all of the alkaline cleaner. If you like the way floor looks you can leave it and your done.
If you would like to get your grout cleaner you can use a acid based cleaner and repeat all steps again. this is really a restoration step but will get grout as clean as possible once you have removed all dirt grease and minerals your grout is at clean as it will get. ( DO NOT USE ANY ACID BASED CLEANER ON A STONE FLOOR YOU WILL RUIN YOUR TILE. REMEMBER ACID WILL EAT MINERALS AND STONE FLOORS COME FROM MINERALS SO DO NOT USE IT ) once you have finished cleaning and rinsing floor and there is no acid based cleaner on floor you must complete one last step.
When you clean with a acid based cleaner it puts your floor in a acid state you will need to bring your floor back to a natural state so how you will do this is to apply a alkaline cleaner to floor you will not need to scrub, only spray on floor once you have done this you can rinse floor and then you will be done.
If this sounds like a lot of work it is, to do the job correctly. To get the floor completely clean you must do all these steps. If you don't do all the steps and cut corners or costs, just know your floor isn't the cleanest it can be. If this is to much work for you to tackle call us we would gladly do this for you. We are professionals at cleaning tile and grout. 602-354-5223 www.azcarpetandtilecleaning.com

What to do if you have a flood in your home or business
Have ever woke up to a flood in your home or business ? Well here is a description of what to do. First you want to remove all standing water asap. Pick up a shop vac and suck up all standing water, if for some reason there is to much water to suck up with the equipment you have please call a professional company. go to www.azcarpetandtilecleaning.com if you need help. Do not hesitate because of cost because if you don't get it up right away you will cost yourself a lot more money in the end.
Once you have removed all standing water proceed to next step. Depending on what flooring you have you have, you will need to handle it in different ways. Lets start with carpet you will first need to pick carpet and get the wet pad out or dry depending on how wet it is. you will also need to check moisture in the walls touching carpet because water will travel up the wall possible up 4 ft so you will need a moisture reading to let you know if walls are moist. If walls have moisture then you must do 2 things both will work. You can remove the drywall, baseboard and replace or you can drill holes about 6 inches from each other at bottom of wall and put fans with adapters into holes to dry.
Water will continue to go from top to bottom so that is why you dry from bottom to top. Remember if you cant handle this procedure then call a professional. You must dry out anything that has water or moisture as fast as possible to prevent mold or fungus from growing which will create a bigger problem for you. Everything must be dry before putting back (carpet, pad and drywall ect).
Lets talk tile you might get lucky in the fact there is concrete between you slab and the tile, however you might have to deal with a moisture problem if it gets to much water it can pop up tiles in which you will have to re install new ones. If the tile has not popped up then you should be fine just make sure you check that you have removed all water and put down fans to dry floor asap. You will also have to do a moisture reading on your walls because there is a chance your tile is installed right and the grout didn't let to much water soak in and all water went right to the edges of the room.
Now for all you wood owners you will have a problem if you have flood. Once water hits wood usually it will start to buckle or warp. If that happens you must install brand new pieces. It is very hard to keep a wood floor from getting damaged with water so do your best to get up all water asap and watch floor closely if there is no buckling or warping then you should be fine. The faster you get the water up and floor dry and anything else the water has touch you should be fine, if you take your time and go slow then you could have a mold or fungus problem so please make the right choice and act fast. Hope this helps you and remember if you ever need to replace any flooring please visit www.azcarpetandtileinstallation.com .

The easiets and best way to save the life of your carpet!!!!
We all want to keep our homes and offices looking great. The carpet however will start to break down and will stop resisiting spots and stains. There are a few reasons carpets will tend to break down. Thats because of soil that is tracked in. We all need to take the time to vacuum the floors on a regular basis. Vacuuming is the most important factor when wanting to extend the life of your carpet. The more you vacuum the better and the longer your carpets will last. We all walk on our carpets daily so we should vacuum daily. We track in dirt and soils from the ouside world and bring them right into our homes or offices. The soil will start to tear down the fibers of the carpet. We then walk on the soil and destroy our carpet fibers then the carpet will no longer reflect lighting and will start to look dull or even break down the stain resistant features of the carpet. Remember to vacuum as much as you can you can never vacuum to much.

The steps all carpet cleaning companies should use to clean your carpets correctly !!
These are steps for all carpet cleaning companies to make sure you get the best carpet cleaning. possible.
- Vacuum Carpet this is done before you start any job. This will remove as much dry soil as possible and help with the cleaning process and dry time.
- Inspect carpet to make sure they know what carpet fibers you have so they don't use the wrong chemicals or detergents. By using the wrong chemicals or detergents on your carpet that will void any warranties you have with the manufacture or could damage the fibers of your carpets.
- Prespray or precondition carpet this is to apply a chemical or detergent to the fibers of the carpet to loosen up dirt , greece and other things you have tracked into your home.
- Rake this is done to aggitate chemical or detergents onto all sides of the carpet fibers. some companies dont do this and there for will not on get chemicals or detergents on one side of your carpet fibers and therfor rely on only water and heat to clean which wont do as good as it should.
- Clean carpet using a truck mounted steam, cleaning unit. You need heat to activate the chemicals or detergents the more heat the better unless you have heat sensitive carpet fibers and then you wont need as much heat. You need a lot of suction so the bigger the blower on the truckmounted steem cleaning unit the better. the more suction the more stuff it can pick up and less water you have remaining in carpet. The carpet cleaning tech will need to make sure they do dry strokes on the carpet to help get as much of the water out of the carpet.
- Rinse carpet this is a chemical that some companies dont know about or never use. This is the chemical that is designed to bring your carpet fibers back to a nuetral state by using this product it will bring carpet back to nuetral and thus will take away crispy carpet.(ever had crispy carpets? that because the cleaner didnt use rinse and left your carpet fibers in a high alkaline state)
- Optional *Reapply scotchguard after the cleaning process you will have removed the factory applied scotchguard from the carpet you will need to reapply it. This will help with preventing staining. Remeber that this is not a guarantee yo still have to pick up stain asap. Scotchgurad will help give you time to clean up the mess.
- Rake this step will make sure that the scotchguard is on all sides of the carpet fibers which is very important so that you have full protection. This step also helps with getting some of the water left over to come to the surface of the fibers and allows carpet to dry faster and also takes out cleaning strokes from the carpet clenaing wands.
- Inspect carpet this is to make sure the customer is happy with the cleaning and to make sure nothing was missed.

A Stain Protector that actally prevents stains
Traditional protectors rely solely on a repellency barrier across the top of the carpeting to bead up spills to protect fibers. But once a spill penetrates the protective barriers of repellent protectors they immediately bond to the fiber, creating difficult to remove stains. Maxim advanced utilizes a totally new and differnet dye-blocking additive to completely coat fibers and prevent stains from bonding to the fiber. In addition, Maxim advanced led the way in using new short chain fluorochemical technology to reduce environmental footprint and as always, remians safer for your children and pets. Picking the right carpet for your lifestyle
There is no other flooring option that offers the comfort and quiet of carpet. Now there are not only many colors and patterns of carpets to choose from - there are also a variety of types to suit any household and décor.Carpet is a good choice because it is warm and soft, particularly on children when crawling or playing on the floor. Carpet is much quieter than other flooring options, particularly hard wood surfaces. Carpeting is also an economical option because the product itself and installation fees are much lower than other flooring types. Here is an overview of the main carpet types of the market today.Saxony: Saxony carpet is smooth and has a cut-pile surface. It is used mainly in traditional or formal rooms.Textured Saxony or Shag: This type of carpet has a more relaxed appearance and is very popular for families. The textured surface of this type helps to hide footprints, which means less upkeep for you.Velvet: As the name might imply, this is a type appropriate for very formal and elegant rooms. It has a very fine sheared surface. Because of its suitability to formal rooms and the upkeep required, this is not as popular an option as other carpet types.Frieze: This kind of carpet is extremely durable so it is perfect for rooms that see a lot of activity. It has a textured almost knobby appearance, which makes it a less popular option even though it does stand up well to wear.Cut and Loop (or Random-Sheared): Cut and loop has a very distinctive appearance with cuts and loops of different sizes on the surface. It works in a variety of rooms since the multi-colors and multi-layers help hide traffic and stains.Level loop and Multi-Level Loop: These two types of carpets are made up of loops (with level loop, all the loops are level, whereas with multi-loop there are different levels of loops). Both of these are very durable and stand up well in high traffic areas. They have a casual rather than elegant appearance.Once you've decided on the type of carpet you want to put in, you need to keep a few other things in mind. You will need to take into consideration the different types of carpet fibers: nylon, olefin, polyester, acrylic and wool. Nylon is the most popular of these fibers because of cost and its ability to hide wear and stains. The other types of fibers have other benefits, but there is nothing that can match the durability and brilliant coloring of nylon fibers.Knowing about yarn twists will also come in handy. With carpet, the rule is the tighter the yarn twist is the better. You want to look for a carpet with a shorter nap. The longer the nap the more difficult it is for the carpet to be crush resistant. Your carpet will look newer longer if you choose one with a shorter nap. The stitches per inch also contribute to the crush resistance of a carpet. Try to choose a carpet that has more yarn or stitches per inch to increase your carpet's matt and crush resistance. If you are buying a looped carpet, then you need to look at the density of the loop and the amount of space right in the middle of the loop, because the tighter the loop, the better the wear will be.Once you've decided on the type of carpet (taking into consideration the fibers, nap and yarn twist), you'll need to pick a pattern and a color. There are many, many options out there nowadays. You may want to consider a solid, neutral color that will go with many wall and furnishing colors and patterns. You don't want to have to change your carpet every time you redecorate, so try to select something that is versatile. To help keep your carpet looking new, there are some basic maintenance steps to follow. You want to vacuum regularly and remove carpet stains as soon as you notice them. The longer a stain sits, the most difficult it is to remove. You can also practice some preventative measures (like using mats and runners in high traffic entry ways) to reduce the wear on your carpet. For more information call 602-354-5223 www.azcarpetandtilecleaning.com
What you need to know before you buy carpet
There are actually buying guides for the carpet buyers. It is important for the consumers to go over this buying guide before purchasing carpets. If you know someone who knows a lot about buying carpets, you can make that person your guide. But if you really want to be in charge, you will learn all the things you need to know in this article.Buying Carpets OnlineAll of us love the idea of a hassle-free purchasing that is why we opt for online purchasing. However, it is not favorable to do the buying of carpets online. And it may not be wise to buy carpets online; you can do the cash-on-delivery process. Never buy the product if you were not able to touch or feel the texture. Plus, it is important that you see the product before paying for it. You will know the quality when you see and touch it. In addition, when you buy without seeing or touching the product, you may not be satisfied with its appearance and it may not match the general interior of your house or room. The Most Familiar Scheme in Selling CarpetsThere are a lot of schemes in marketing, and selling of carpets is not an exception. Many sellers and industries use expensive brand names to fool customers. It is easy for them to do this because they also use almost the same materials for their products. Everywhere you go you can see fake products, but some are obvious enough that you know it is not real. But some sellers are very good at faking it; you have to be very careful. These sellers and/or industries use popular brand names on many of their products, thus confusing a lot of consumers in the market.Determine a Well-made CarpetOne of the important things to learn in purchasing carpets is to know whether or not it is made really well. The buyer's guide contains the guide for carpet construction, which consists of the different things needed to be considered like the backing of the carpet, the latex that is used for the carpet's backing, the fiber, pile density, the type of dye being used, the stain resistant treatments, and of course, the finishing. Two backings should be present to ensure good quality. First, there must be primary backings; this is where you can see the fibers. And then, there is the secondary backing; this is made to squeeze in the fibers. These should be made carefully and with great workmanship to maintain the quality of the carpets. Some of the factors that determine the carpet's quality are the face weight, the class of pile density, and the twists. The more twists, the lesser the density so make sure that in purchasing your carpet, the fibers should have less twists. The perfect twist level is at six per inch.Another important element in buying is the finishing. When the products are looking at its best, then it should be well finished. There are carpets that are looped, and they are the ones that are not cut off. Cheaper loop carpets are good for indoor and outdoor; on the other hand, carpets with loops that are dense short are intended for zones with high traffic. Dont be fooled by bait and switch carpet cleaning in Phoenix Arizona
Choosing Arizona carpet cleaners solely by price doesn't work. Many homeowners have found out the hard way that the low price they saw advertised was not the amount they where actually charge. You see, some unethical carpet cleaners in Arizona and other states advertise an incredibly cheap price usually between $4.95 and $9.95 per room with no intention of actually delivering on this offer. Instead, they use it to get in the door, where they use all sorts of high pressure sales tactics to increase the bill, such as
- Explaining that the quoted price was meant for some types of carpet that the customer doesn't have or only includes basic hot water or steam cleaning, and that really isn't adequate because.....so you need this other kind of special chemical ....which is more expensive.
- Selling add-on after another, with an extra charge for everything from moving furniture to special pre-treatments to removing each individual stain to applying watered down scotchguard protectant, and on and on .
- Even doing a demonstration of an add-on service that leaves a cleaner spot on the middle of the floor, forcing the customer to have it done to the entire carpet!
The truth is .......when we invest wisely, we get what we pay for. You don't have to spend a fortune to keep your carpet up. Just get the best value for your investment and don't be afraid to ask questions! Here are a few good ones that i suggest you ask:
- Exactly what does your advertised service include and what constitutes extra charges?
- Will you be using a truck mounted hot water extraction cleaning system?
- What type of training have you or your technicians received?
- How long have you been in business?
- Who will be performing the actual cleaning in my home ?
- What kind of guarantee is offered with the cleaning ?
