Time to clean your dryer vent.....before you start a fire

You should clean your dryer vent at least one time a year. You might think that all the lint and debris from your dryer will get sucked out of the vent. This is not true most homes vents will start to clog up with materials from your clothing and get stuck in your dryer vent or vent tube. You must pull your dyer out from the wall and check the line going from your dryer to the outlet tube. If clogged remove debris also check the back of your dryer and make sure that there is nothing clogged there as well before putting back together. Check the line going from the dryer to the vent tube and make sure you have no cracks or tears. Lastly have the vent tube cleaned out and make sure it has a clear pipe.
